My name is Joni Black and I live in Quebec, Canada and started by selling on eBay two years ago. I have enjoyed great success with it - a big thank you to all my customers. I have been married to a very wonderful, always supportive man for 28 years now. We share our home with 2 cats and our biggest baby of all - Rob Roy - our sheltie (he gets the honour of having his picture here - he is the cutest of us all!). His ancestry is sheep herding and likes nothing better than the smell of wool, especially when I am dyeing.

My love is for rug hooking and all things primitive. I discovered rug hooking two years ago after having been a quilter for 20 years. I have always done some sort of handwork, but quilting was my focus for many years. I worked mostly on applique quilts using a lot of my own hand dyed cottons.

About 8 years ago while visiting an aunt in the Maritimes, I saw something that caught my interest - rug hooking. It would take another six years before the opportunity and resources presented itself to take up this new passion. I have combined my loves of rug hooking and primitives to become Fully Wooly Primitives. There is something about the simplicity of rug hooking that strikes a chord. In this age of rapid change, rug hooking brings a tranquility to my life that I treasure.

My specialty is hand dyeing wool, designing rug hooking kits, and making finished rugs. I sell those I can part with but it can be a struggle. Most recently I have been dabbling in making primitive dolls and other prim items. So you never know what you might find on my website amongst the wool pages!
